Is it really free?
Yes. Your server is free to use, with no subscription and no hidden fees.
Java or Bedrock?
Java only. Bedrock clients can't connect to Java servers, and that's not something we can flip on our side. Better to say it here than after you've invited everyone.
Do my friends need an account or the app?
No. They need Minecraft Java Edition and your address. You add their names to the whitelist.
Can I choose the world settings?
Yes. Gamemode, difficulty, seed, MOTD and player permissions can all be changed while the server is stopped.
Can I download my world?
Yes, as a ZIP, while the server is stopped. It's a real world download, so you can keep it, back it up, or host it somewhere else.
What do I need to play?
Minecraft Java Edition on your computer, and the address we give you. That's it.
How many friends can join?
Up to 10 Minecraft names on the whitelist, including you.
Can I change my server address?
Yes, while the server is stopped. The old address stops working and your friends use the new one.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. The Android app manages the same account and server, and the browser works everywhere else.
What happens when nobody plays for a while?
Worlds are removed seven days after their last use to keep hosting free. Download your world if you plan to be away longer.
How is MineBanish free?
The service is supported by advertising, and you never need to pay or add payment details.
